Adventure Bound

Parents + Kids

50 scratch-off cards designed for parents with kids 5 to 12 that lead you on shared adventures and guide you through meaningful conversations.

  • Get more than “fine.” Kids open up side by side, not face to face
  • Every card ends with you naming something good in your kid
  • From free nights at home to big afternoons out
  • Works with one kid or all of them at once

“Good.” “Fine.” “Nothing.”

Tired of one-word answers? Sometimes kids open up side by side, not face to face. Go do something together and let the talk come to you.

Hand a kid a question and it turns into homework. So we didn’t make a deck of questions. We made 50 adventures and put the questions in the middle of something you’re already doing together.

You don’t know what you’re doing until you do. Icons along the bottom show the price, time of day, how long it takes, whether it’s spontaneous or needs planning, and whether you’re staying home or heading out.

Card No. 01 back with questions, Parent's Turn and Save the Moment

Flip it over

Two questions tied to your adventure, a turn for the parent to share who they used to be and what they see in their kid, and one way to remember the moment. Not just a bucket list, but 50 ways to create core memories together.

The part no other product has

You go first. Then say the good stuff out loud.

Every card has a Parent’s Turn. You share a story from your own life, then tell your kid something specific you see in them. Kids grow into what gets spoken over them.

1 · Share your story

Tell them about something simple that scared you the first time you had to do it.

No. 03 · The Brave Order

Tell them about something hard you almost quit but didn’t.

No. 15 · The Uphill Card

Tell them about a dream you had at their age that still matters to you.

No. 18 · Vision Board Night
Back of card No. 01 with the Parent's Turn highlighted

2 · Say what you see

Tell them one way they’re tougher than they give themselves credit for.

No. 06 · The Worry Toss

Name a part of who they are you hope never changes.

No. 07 · Treasure Hunt

Tell them one thing about them that makes you proud when no one’s around to see it.

No. 08 · The Sunset Talk

Conversation starters are corny.

Canned questions feel forced. Go do something together, loosen up, and the real conversation shows up on its own. The adventure isn’t a bonus on top of the conversation. It’s what makes the conversation possible.

You only get 9 years with your kid.

One with your baby. Three with your toddler. Nine with your kid. Five with your teenager. Make the middle ones count.

50 scratch-off cards designed for parents with kids 5 to 12, so you can make the most of the golden years.

Not a parenting workbook.

Adventurous, warm and actually fun. Every adventure comes with the conversation that goes with it. Here are three of the fifty.

How it works

Five steps, printed right on the cards. Nothing to learn, nothing to set up.

A card being scratched off to reveal the adventure
  1. Choose a card

Pick an adventure that fits the moment. The icons tell you what it costs, when it works and how long it takes.

  2. Scratch it off

You don’t know what you’re doing until you do. Then go do it together.

  3. Talk along the way

Two questions on the back, tied directly to what you’re doing. Never random, never out of nowhere.

  4. Take your turn

Share a memory or a lesson from your own life, then say something specific about who your kid is becoming.

  5. Save the moment

Take the photo, keep the receipt, write the date on a napkin. Twenty years from now, that’s the thing you still have.

Questions

How is this different from your bucket lists?

Our bucket lists are built around a place: your state or city. Adventure Bound is built around a relationship. The adventures work anywhere, and every card carries conversation prompts and a turn for the parent.

What ages does this work for?

Best for ages 5 to 12. We deliberately didn’t dumb the questions down, because kids usually rise to more than adults expect.

I have more than one kid. Does that work?

Yes. Every card is written to work with one kid or several, so nothing assumes an only child.

Do the adventures cost a lot?

No. A big share are free and the rest are mostly under twenty-five dollars. Every card gives you an indication of the price you can expect, from $ to $$$.

Do I need to travel?

No. Some cards stay home, most are local, and nothing requires a special destination.

Is this a good gift?

One of the best we make. For Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or any time you want to connect further with your kids. It’s the rare gift that turns into fifty afternoons instead of one afternoon and a shelf.

The sweet spot is shorter than you think.

Somewhere between 5 and 12, they’re old enough to really connect and not too cool to hang out with you yet.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDERS

Conversations stick when they’re attached to an adventure

We’re a little obsessed with creating core memories with our kids. We’ve noticed a talk at the kitchen table gets forgotten, but a talk on a bench outside the ice cream shop sticks. Conversation starters feel gimmicky. Get our kids out on an adventure, and they open up. We hear their hearts, share ours, and grow as parents.
